The BeGlobal project has established a strategic alliance with the Geek Girls LATAM foundation aimed at empowering women, girls and young women in Latin America who are starting their careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas. This partnership seeks to reduce educational dropout rates in highly vulnerable groups enhancing global competitiveness and building essential competencies and leadership skills to thrive as professionals in an increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
Through innovative educational tools such as gamification, Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Lego pedagogy, BeGlobal will work together with Geek Girls LATAM to train mentors and leaders in STEAM from and for Latin America to promote civic engagement, social responsibility and inclusion. Geek Girls LATAM will work together with other non-governmental organizations in Colombia and Chile to co-create pedagogical methodologies based on local challenges, creating an educational environment that promote the participation of the beneficiaries.
Commitment to social change
Geek Girls LATAM, as part of the BeGlobal project, is committed to actively participate until the project closes in 2026, collaborating in educational training workshops and providing constant feedback. In addition, it will support the dissemination of the project nationally and internationally, promoting global citizenship and sustainable development through education in strategic areas.
The alliance between BeGlobal and Geek Girls LATAM is a significant step towards build up inclusion and gender equity in important sectors of the economy and technology. It aims to create new opportunities for women and young people in vulnerable situations across Colombia and Latin America.
