What is BeGlobal?
Globalisation has generated interactions at the economic, political, social and technological levels, and with it major challenges that require processes of adaptation and the acquisition of tools that enable professionals to become «global citizens». Universities, and society in general, have a fundamental role to play in this transformation.
BeGlobal is a co-funded project under the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission which aims to promote the internationalisation of higher education and active global citizenship in Colombia and Chile, and to contribute to social cohesion in the region.
The BeGlobal project aims to provide training and implement case studies in the areas of «Global Citizenship» and «Internationalization for Society» using innovative teaching methods and educational gamification tools, particularly the «serious games» approach. To maximize its impact, the project will establish local partnerships to share its findings with the whole society
Project Objectives
To promote
To promote global citizenship, social responsibility, civic engagement, inclusion and non-discrimination through innovative educational ways.
To enhance
To enhance international and intercultural dialogue, and increase tolerance through both physical and online interactions, based on collaboration with local and international actors.
To develop
To develop capabilities in higher education institutions around internationalization and soft and digital skills, through the implementation of internationalization experiences at home that will improve local and global employability.
