Get to know the team and process behind the communication strategy to demonstrate that global skills can address local issues.
The BeGlobal project aims to promote internationalization of higher education and global citizenship in Colombia and Chile to improve social cohesion in the region. In order to achieve this, the project will offer training and implement practical cases using innovative pedagogical methods such as serious games, a gamification approach. Additionally, to maximize its impact, the project will form local alliances to disseminate its results to society.
Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas (FUJNC) from Bogotá, Colombia, is responsible for overseeing the communication strategy to disseminate the BeGlobal Project’s strategy to participants and the general public.
Our team is part of the Department of Global Initiatives at the FUJNC, led by Daniela Herrera Grajales as the general director and Juan Camilo Chaves Hernández as the project manager. Working alongside them are Ivonne Buitrago Gutiérrez as the communications director, María Fernanda Herrera García and Daniel Felipe Mora Mejía as the creative directors, Mónica Álvarez Jaramillo as a strategic advisor in the teaching area, and William Fernando Penagos Balcázar as the innovation advisor.
This team includes professionals from Marketing, International Relations, Medicine, and Journalism, and is responsible for work package number 6 (WP6), which is dedicated to disseminating the project’s progress and accomplishments.
Consequently, this party developed a dissemination strategy to increase the project’s results’ reach locally, nationally, and internationally. Another task is to ensure interaction with target audience, stakeholders, relevant institutions, organizations, decision-makers, and public opinion by teaching the concepts of «global citizenship» and «internationalization for society”,
In order to achieve this goal, we designed a website with updated information on the project’s work packages, established the project’s social media presence on Instagram and LinkedIn, and actively participated in the capacity-building program to promote global citizenship and foster innovative internationalization experiences at home.
